Forum: audio Subject: How do I play Daisy files in a Windows 10 computer?

I'm a new member. I'm sorry if I am asking a dumb question, but I have searched and read things online all day and I am more confused than ever.
I'm downloading old audio books for my mother, who is legally blind. She has a NLS account and I have linked that with this account. I have downloaded several encrypted Daisy files that way, but I can't figure out how to play them. They won't play in the NLS player. I've read about players several places online...but some don't work on Windows 10 computers. Do I have to download something that will only work on a tablet? I see you have to purchase some of those players. My mom can't afford additional costs.
We just need a player that will play a Daisy encrypted audio book that is already recorded. Can anyone help us?

Thank you in advance,
Bonnie

i'll copy your message to someone in the organization that may be able to help. my limited understanding is that some DAISY player are for audio files and some are for text-to-speech. our files are only text-to-speech so if your mother's is for audio files our would not work.
